Establish a Brother-Club relationship with an overseas club
Thanks to the explosion in growth of the world's greatest game, Australian football is now played in over 50 countries.
We would like to invite your club to support this growth by establishing a 'brother-club' relationship with an international club. Such relationships are vital for the future growth and sustainability of our great game.
You can nominate which country you would like to develop a relationship with. You may already have a connection with that particularly country, e.g. same colours, a player or official was born there etc.). Or you can ask us to find a club for you – the choice is yours.
The benefits include:
- Opportunity for your players to participate in player-exchanges with international clubs
- Opportunity for international players to participate in player-exchanges with your club
- Opportunity for international coaches and umpires to attend accreditation courses run by your league
- Opportunity for your club to visit your brother club on a unique end-of-season footy trip
- Opportunity for your club to donate old jumpers & footballs to international clubs
- Exchange of website links between both clubs, so increased promotion for your club
Please contact us if you would like to establish a brother-club relationship with an international club.
