Dubai 9s

The Dubai Dingoes hosted the inaugural Dubai 9s in the United Arab Emirates on Friday 30 March, 2007. Entry was open to all senior Australian football teams.

The Dubai 9s was played at the Exiles Rugby Ground under the rules of 9-a-side football.

Rugby Union has the Hong Kong Sevens and Rugby League has the World Sevens. Both events have been a huge success in promoting and developing both sports internationally, and it is hoped that the Dubai 9s will be the start of something similar for Australian football.
