South Africa too good for Denmark

A good crowd has turned up to see the final second round game between South Africa and Denmark at St.Mary's oval in Geelong.

The game started at a great pace with both teams going in hard for the ball and both defences on top. In a tight opening term South Africa held a slender lead of 1 point.

The second term saw South Africa take the ascendancy to kick away to a a 35 point lead.

Denmark fought back slightly in the third term restricting the South Africans to only 2 points and scoring a goal themselves. South Africa still lead by 30 points at 3/4 game.

The final term saw South Africa draw away to win by 45 points with Toy Prinsloo the dominant forward, kicking 3 goals and Jayce Zidel booting 2 goals. Toy's brother, Richard was best on ground playing well all over the ground, as was Thabiao Phakedi and ever reliable captain Mtutuzeli Hlomela.
