Aussie Rules in Sweden has been played since 1993, with the game currently played in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Karlstad, Falun, Uppsala and Scania. A national governing body was formed in 2007 under the name Svenska Australiensiska Fotbollsförbundet or AFL Sweden.
