Bahrain Blues

The Bahrain Football Club, known more recently as the Bahrain Blues, have blossomed from humble beginnings to the 'new kids on the block' in the AFL Middle East competition. Following more than a year of lobbying from enthusiastic would-be players and administrators lead by Tim Barret, the team has found it's way to the top league in the Gulf Region. Players have emerged from a variety of backgrounds including soccer, rugby union, rugby league, gaelic football and hockey to form the nucleus of this group. Keen interest and consistently good training numbers demonstrate a commitment to the sport and the team for years to come. The recently secured sponsorship of Bahrain Duty Free, the support of the Bahrain Rugby Football Club, our home ground sponsor, and the support of the Arabian Celts Gaelic football team in training and practice matches contribute significantly to the dream becoming reality for the Bahrain Blues.
