Geelong Cats

The Geelong Football Club, nicknamed The Cats, is a club with a rich history. Formed in 1859, it is the second oldest club in the AFL after Melbourne, and one of the oldest football clubs in the world. The club is based in the city of Geelong at Kardinia Park (now known by its sponsored name "Skilled Stadium").

The Cats were relatively strong performers throughout the 1980s and 1990s (Grand Final appearances in 1989, 1992, 1994 and 1995), and finally broke their premiership drought in 2007, winning the flag again in 2009.
