AFL Capricornia is an amateur Australian rules football competition in the Rockhampton and Gladstone regions of Central Queensland. It is the only competition in Queensland outside of Cairns and Brisbane to run a full league that includes seniors to juniors at all six clubs. The competition includes Senior, Reserves, Under 17s, Under 15s and Under 13s.

The league began in the late 1960s as the Rockhampton Football Association with clubs from Parkhurst, Wandal, Parkana and Gladstone. The league was not recognised by any other competition until 1972 when it changed its name to Rockhampton Australian Football Association, with clubs playing in Rockhampton, Gladstone, Biloela and Blackwater. At one stage there were nine teams in the competition.

The RAFA again changed its name from Rockhampton to Capricornia, then a few years later changed the word Association to League, becoming the Capricornia AFL. With the restructuring of Australian football competitions at the instigation of the AFL in the late 1990s, the league was renamed AFL Capricornia.
